Wednesday Wardrobe - Pressed Marigold

I love love love this lace bustier bodysuit from Forever 21! I initially tried it on just to be silly since it snaps in the crotch and brought me back to my childhood ice-skating leotard days, but I ended up loving it! It's fun to pull things from the rack you'd never imagine yourself wearing. You might be pleasantly surprised. Stepping outside of your usual style box and having a good time with it is the best way to expand your wardrobe.

Speaking of going beyond our personal style comfort zones, I happened to pick up this chiffon skirt when I was in a bit of style rut. I was always wearing the same dark and neutral colors, and my boyfriend (bless his heart) was starting to take notice of my lackluster look. He took me shopping at Buffalo Exchange (thrift store) and said he'd buy me whatever I wanted. This camel yellow mini jumped out at me as a perfect piece to brighten up my look. I'd say this is probably the first item that set me down the path of "girliefying" my wardrobe with pops of color and feminine cuts, and I haven't looked back since. So get out there and try something new!
