Fight Klub II – Brian Viveros tribute

Hannah Ray and I have been planning to shoot together ever since we met on the Haste the Day farewell tour at the beginning of the year, and we FINALLY made it happen yesterday. It was well worth the wait! I stumbled upon this painting by Brian Viveros and immediately knew I needed to replicate it with Hannah. I don’t think she could have been any more perfect for this shoot.

Vicious World Lookbook

I’m really excited to share these photos with you guys! As I’ve been posting about on my blog non-stop, I went to Europe for 18 days with MyChildren MyBride and The Chariot. I could not have asked for better dudes to travel with for my first tour. Such a fun time! I’ll be sharing photos from the UK/European shows soon, so stay tuned for that. In the mean time, check out my Tumblr to watch the tour video The Chariot put together of all the footage Zach and I shot.

Matthew and Robert of MyChildren MyBride have started a clothing line, so we wanted to take full advantage of all the awesome locations in Germany and shoot some photos for their line.

These ones were taken in Germany at the Köln Cathedral, one of the largest Gothic churches in the world. Matthew, Robert, and I set out on a 2 mile walk from the venue to see this thing in all its glory. As we approached it, the sky was looming with black clouds, the bells were ringing out, and the wind was so powerful it nearly knocked us over. I’ve never seen anything more epic. This was the perfect setting for the Vicious World lookbook.

Commercial Photography Strobism

Zach and I collaborated again and combined our army of strobes (6 lights total) for the making of another tutorial video for The videos features an in-depth explanation of gear, lighting setup, and post-processing to achieve this popular commercial look frequently used for key art and movie posters. So if you’d like to check out the behind-the-scenes from this shoot along with the processing, be sure to sign up at!

Robbie Conrad – No Longer In My Hands

My friend Robbie asked me to do some photos for the artwork of his new album, and pretty much left all the creative direction up to me. We borrowed his friend’s quaint little apartment in downtown San Diego while she was out, and aside from it being in the direct line of air traffic (a plane passed overhead almost every 10 minutes), this place oozed inspirational personality. I had a really great time testing out new techniques and experimenting with different angles and perspectives. This shoot definitely helped me get my creative flow back!
